A READING OF SLEEP DISORDERS

Sleeping disorders are medical conditions where the pattern of sleep is disruptive, irregular and untimely. It creates problems for the patients as well as the families respectively. Those who go through such phases of time often remain awake in the night, feel sleepy during the day. Problems and disorders related to sleep not only harm the mind but also affect an individual’s productivity, emotional balance, energy and health. Physical and emotional well-being is directly related to the kind of sleep a person takes everyday.

It shows the overall health of a person, gender doesn’t matter in this case. Any disorder of sleep can affect efficiency, stress handling, health, mood, job performance and relationships. Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS), sleep paralysis, sleepwalking, nocturia and somniphobia are also disorders of sleep. ‘Insomnia’ is the most common sleep disorder found in most cases. The irresistible urge to move arms and legs becomes quite inevitable in this disorder. Anyone affected with this problem feels creepy sensations and aches too. Narcolepsy is also one of the most frequent disorders involves excessive daytime sleep. The symptoms of are loosing control of the body functions, intense dreams, feeling of paralysis and hearing things which are not true in anyway.There are many such sleep related diseases in which common symptoms can be found out with the ones mentioned above.

The treatment for all these disorders is also more or less the same because they are interlinked. Caffeine related beverages should be avoided, tea and coffee should be taken in minimum quantity and strict routine schedule should be always followed to avoid daytime sleeping. Distribution of time among all the chores whether official or domestic must be made in order to give rest to give adequate rest to the body. If a doctor’s help becomes a necessity then it should be taken immediately otherwise there can be a huge loss to the patient, especially to the health and physical energy. Therefore it’s important for everyone to follow a strict path of discipline in order to cure themselves for these disorders.
